Berkley Normal Middle School provides pathways for students to mature into young people who:
Care (Kia manāki) - Knowing, holding onto and acting on values that will live effectively in a global community, and grow as life long learners. Working to secure a sustainable social, culture, economic and environmental future.
Share (Kia tiaki) - Understanding the importance of connectedness ... and its many rewards including respect in oneself and others (diversity), responsibilities and relationships with people, the land and environment.
Dare (Kia toa) - Using competencies to develop confidence, strength, courage and excellence, resilience and resourcefulness to face challenges; self motivation; accepting responsibilities and aiming high.
